Ingredients

250 g Flour
20 g Fresh yeast
300 ml Lukewarm water
1 EL Sugar
1/4 TL Salt
100 ml Honey
1 TL Cinnamon
80 g Walnuts (optional)
500 ml Oil for frying

Preparation

  1. 1Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water with the sugar.
  2. 2Mix flour and salt, add the yeast water, and stir into a smooth, thick batter. Cover and let rise for about 60 minutes.
  3. 3Heat oil to 180 °C.
  4. 4Shape the batter into small balls with wet hands or a spoon and fry until golden brown.
  5. 5Drizzle the drained balls with honey.
  6. 6Sprinkle with cinnamon and chopped walnuts (optional) and serve warm.

Notes & tips

Note: Contains gluten (dough) + nuts (walnuts) + optional egg. Without nuts, egg substitute, gluten-free flour. Honey is fine. Soy-free.
