Ingredients

Amounts adjust automatically.
600 g Ground beef
4 Stück Burger buns
4 Scheiben Cheddar (soy-free: Bedda)
4 Blätter Iceberg lettuce
2 Stück Tomato
1 Stück Red onion
8 Scheiben Pickles
4 EL Mayonnaise (soy-free)
2 TL Mustard
2 EL Ketchup
je 1 Prise Salt & pepper

Preparation

  1. 1Loosely shape the ground beef into 4 equal-sized patties and season with salt and pepper. Do not knead too much, otherwise the meat will become tough.
  2. 2Cook the patties on a hot grill or in a pan for about 3–4 minutes per side, until cooked through.
  3. 3During the last 2 minutes, place the cheddar on the patties and let it melt.
  4. 4Slice the burger buns and toast them briefly on the grill or in the pan.
  5. 5Stir the mayonnaise with mustard and ketchup to make a sauce.
  6. 6Spread the sauce on the bottom bun, then layer lettuce, tomato slices, onion rings, pickles, and the patty on top.
  7. 7Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.

Notes & tips

Note: Contains egg (buns, mayo), cow's milk (cheese). Soy-free if mayonnaise without soy oil binder — alternatively vegan mayo or Rama Cremefine plant-based. Soy-free cheese: Bedda. Choose buns without egg or bake them yourself.
