Pelmeni (Russian Meat Dumplings)
Small boiled dumplings with meat filling — a Siberian classic.

Ingredients

| 400 g | Flour |
| 200 ml | Water |
| 1 Stück | Egg (optional, can be omitted) |
| 1 TL | Salt |
| 400 g | Mixed ground pork and beef |
| 1 Stück | Onion (finely grated) |
| 2 Stück | Garlic cloves |
| 1/2 TL | Pepper |
| 30 g | Butter (or vegan) for serving |
| 100 g | Sour cream (optional, or plant-based yogurt) |
Preparation
- 1Knead flour, water, egg (optional) and salt into a firm dough, let rest for 30 minutes.
- 2Mix the ground meat with grated onion, garlic, salt and pepper.
- 3Roll out the dough thinly, cut out circles with a glass.
- 4Place some filling on each circle, fold into half-moons and press the edges firmly, stick the ends together.
- 5Cook the pelmeni in boiling salted water for about 5–7 minutes until they float.
- 6Drain, drizzle with butter and serve with sour cream or plant-based yogurt.

Note: 'S ALLERGY: Contains gluten (dough) + optional egg (in dough). Dough without egg (flour/water/salt) and butter instead of sour cream. WITHOUT milk, WITHOUT soy.
