Ingredients

Makes: 1 pizza (8 pieces)
Amounts are for the whole bake — choose ½, 1 or 2.
2 Rollen (ca. 400 g) Pizza dough (ready-rolled)
200 g Passata (strained tomatoes)
250 g Mozzarella
50 g Black olives (pitted)
1 Bell pepper (red)
1 TL Oregano (dried)
1 EL Olive oil
etwas Salt
nach Geschmack Pepper

Preparation

Step by step through the recipe

  1. 1 Preheat the oven to 220 °C top/bottom heat and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2 Roll out 2 rolls (approx. 400 g) of pizza dough and cut out 8 circles of about 10 cm in diameter using a glass or cookie cutter. Place the dough circles on the baking sheet, roll out the dough scraps again and cut out more circles.
  3. 3 Mix 200 g passata with 1 EL olive oil, 1 TL oregano, a little salt and pepper to taste. Spread the 8 dough circles thinly with it, leaving a border of about 1 cm free.
  4. 4 Drain 250 g mozzarella and tear into strips. From the strips, shape a ghost body on each mini pizza: wide at the bottom, tapering to a point at the top, with pointy arms.
  5. 5 Halve 50 g black olives and press two halves each into the mozzarella ghosts as eyes.
  6. 6 Remove the seeds from 1 red bell pepper and cut into fine strips. Place the strips as pumpkin and moon decorations between the ghosts on the mini pizzas.
  7. 7 Bake the mini pizzas in the preheated oven at 220 °C for about 10–12 minutes, until the mozzarella has melted and the edges are golden brown.
  8. 8 Take the ghost pizzas out of the oven, let them cool briefly and serve while still warm.

Notes & tips

Note: Contains milk (mozzarella) and gluten (pizza dough). Variation: With vegan grated cheese or a plant-based mozzarella substitute and vegan pizza dough, the ghost pizza turns out completely vegan. Shortcut: Ready-rolled pizza dough from the refrigerated section saves time — the dough circles can also be cut out with a glass. Kids' workshop: Roll out the dough scraps again and shape them into little ghosts or bats; the mini pizzas also taste good cold the next day.
