Ingredients

800 g pork neck
3 EL soy sauce (or tamari)
2 EL hoisin sauce (optional) or honey
2 EL sugar
2 Stück garlic cloves
1 TL five-spice powder
1 Prise red food coloring (optional)
2 EL honey for glazing

Preparation

  1. 1Mix soy sauce, hoisin, sugar, garlic, five-spice, and coloring into a marinade.
  2. 2Marinate the meat in the marinade for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight).
  3. 3Preheat the oven to 190°C. Place the meat on a rack over a baking sheet.
  4. 4Bake for about 30–40 minutes, brushing with the marinade several times.
  5. 5Brush with honey and bake for another 5–10 minutes until the surface is glossy and lightly caramelized.
  6. 6Let rest for 10 minutes, slice thinly, and serve.

Notes & tips

Note: Contains soy (soy sauce) + optional honey/gluten. Use tamari (soy-free) + rice instead of noodles. Without milk, without egg. Use soy-free sauce for.
