Notes & tips
Frost tip: After the first cold nights, kale tastes milder and less bitter – that is why kale season only begins now; frozen kale works just as well outside the season. Variation: Bound with 2 tbsp oats or one mashed potato, the stew becomes creamier. Leftover tip: Reheated the next day, the stew tastes even better; it keeps for 2–3 days in the refrigerator and freezes well. Serving idea: Serve with farmhouse bread and a dollop of mustard – crisp kale chips with sesame go well with it. Note: Contains milk.
