Ingredients
| 2 Stück (ca. 300 g) | Apples |
| 1 TL | Cinnamon |
| 1 EL | Sugar (optional) |
Preparation
Step by step through the recipe
- 1 Preheat the oven to 100 °C top/bottom heat and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2 Wash 2 apples (ca. 300 g), quarter them, remove the core and cut the quarters into very thin slices (ca. 2–3 mm).
- 3 Place the apple slices side by side on the prepared baking sheet so that they do not overlap.
- 4 1 TL Sprinkle cinnamon evenly over the apple slices. If you like, also sprinkle them with 1 EL sugar (optional).
- 5 Slide the baking sheet into the preheated oven and dry the apple slices at 100 °C for ca. 1,5–2 hours, turning them once halfway through.
- 6 Remove the apple chips from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet – they become crispy as they cool.
- 7 Fill the cooled apple-cinnamon chips into an airtight container and store in a dry place.
Notes & tips
Tip: In an airtight container, the chips stay crispy for several days. Variation: Dry in a food dehydrator at 60 °C for about 6–8 hours.
