Grilled Halloumi
Grilled halloumi with a crust and a soft center — the most popular vegetarian grill classic. Serve with lemon, olive oil, and flatbread.

Ingredients

| 2 Stück à 200 g | Halloumi |
| 3 EL | Olive oil |
| 1 Stück | Lemon |
| 1 TL | Oregano (dried) |
| 4 Stück | Flatbread (for serving) |
| 2 Stück | Tomatoes |
Preparation
- 1 Drain the halloumi and cut it into slices about 1 cm thick.
- 2 Brush the slices with olive oil and sprinkle with oregano.
- 3 Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and place the halloumi on it.
- 4 Grill for 3–4 minutes per side, until the surface has a golden-brown crust.
- 5 Drizzle with lemon juice and serve with warm flatbread and tomatoes.
Notes & tips
Note: Contains cow's milk (depending on the manufacturer; traditionally sheep's/goat's milk) and gluten (flatbread). Drain the halloumi well before grilling and do not turn it too soon so that a crust forms.
