| 4 Stück | Tomatoes (ripe) |
| 2 Kugeln (250 g) | Mozzarella (buffalo mozzarella or cow's milk) |
| 1 Bund | Basil (fresh) |
| 4 EL | Olive oil (good quality) |
| je 1 Prise | Salt, pepper |
Preparation
- 1 Wash the tomatoes and cut them into slices about 1 cm thick.
- 2 Drain the mozzarella and slice it as well.
- 3 Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices alternately in a fan shape on a plate.
- 4 Top with basil leaves, drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper only immediately before serving.
Notes & tips
Note: Contains cow's milk (mozzarella). This salad lives on ripe tomatoes and good olive oil — salt only shortly before serving so the tomatoes release their juices. Can be varied with balsamic vinegar or basil oil.
