Jalapeño Poppers
Oven-baked, breaded jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese (an alternative to deep-frying). Spicy, creamy, and the classic US sports bar snack.

| 10 Stück | Jalapeños (large) |
| 200 g | Cream cheese |
| 50 g | Cheddar, grated |
| 3 EL | Flour |
| 1 Stück | Egg |
| 60 g | Breadcrumbs |
| 1 EL | Oil (for greasing) |
Preparation
- 1 Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat.
- 2 Halve the jalapeños lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
- 3 Stir together the cream cheese and cheddar, fill the halves with the mixture, and reassemble each one.
- 4 Coat the poppers in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs.
- 5 Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes & tips
Note: Contains cow's milk, gluten, and egg. The heat level can be controlled by the amount of seeds — if you prefer it milder, remove the seeds completely.
