Wheat tortilla with a cheese filling, pan-fried until golden brown and cut into wedges. Serve with salsa and sour cream — a Mexican classic that comes together in just a few minutes.

Ingredients

| 4 Stück | Wheat tortillas |
| 200 g | Cheddar or Gouda, grated |
| 2 Stück | Spring onions |
| 1 EL | Butter or oil |
| 150 g | Salsa (for serving) |
| 100 g | Sour cream (for serving) |
Preparation
- 1 Top the tortillas with the grated cheese, sprinkle with spring onion rings and fold them in half.
- 2 Heat the butter or oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 3 Cook the folded tortillas for 2–3 minutes per side until they are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- 4 Let them cool briefly, cut into wedges and serve with salsa and sour cream.
Notes & tips
Note: Contains gluten (wheat tortilla) and cow's milk (cheese, sour cream). Made with corn tortillas, the quesadilla becomes gluten-free. The filling goes well with bell peppers, corn or beans.
