Homemade Lemonade
Refreshingly tart lemonade made from freshly squeezed lemons, sugar and water or sparkling water — the ultimate summer classic and a base for many variations (e.g. with mint or berries).

| 100 g | Sugar |
| 100 ml (für den Sirup) | Water |
| 1 l | Water or sparkling water (cold) |
| 4 Zweige | Mint (optional) |
| nach Bedarf | Ice cubes |
Preparation
- 1 Heat the sugar and 100 ml water in a small saucepan until the sugar has dissolved, then let the syrup cool.
- 2 Squeeze the lemons and strain the juice through a sieve.
- 3 Stir the syrup and lemon juice together with the cold water in a pitcher.
- 4 Serve with mint and ice cubes.
Notes & tips
Note: Contains no alcohol. The sugar syrup can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator. Using sparkling mineral water instead of still water makes the lemonade fizzier.
